There are a few religions that practice cremation as a preferred means of final disposition over burial. The Sikhs, Hindus, Parsees and Buddhists have all been embracing cremation for centuries. It is more of a pagan ritual even today. Hindus, Buddhists and most Asian religions believe in reincarnation. They are not concerned about cremating the body as they believe that the soul is the only entity that survives death and that the soul will return in a different body or form. Their cremation rituals are quite elaborate and vary from country to country.
